About Us

Hello and welcome…we are Hugh and Prue and together we run this business from our home in Iwerne Minster in North East Dorset.

Hugh has been leading mountain bike rides for over 25 years. With decades of experience guiding groups across varied terrain, he brings a calm, knowledgeable approach that ensures every ride is both enjoyable and expertly led. His deep understanding of routes, pacing, and rider confidence allows guests to relax and fully immerse themselves in the experience.

He gained the MIAS mountain bike leader qualification (level 2) in 2023.

Prue was introduced to mountain biking by Hugh seven years ago and quickly developed her own passion for exploring on two wheels. Her journey from newcomer to committed rider brings a warm, welcoming perspective, particularly for those who may be new to off-road cycling or looking to build confidence.

She owned and ran a Gite business in France (near Bergerac) for 16 years (2020) and has a wealth of catering and hospitality experience.

The delights of Dorset

We are so lucky to live in this delightful corner of Dorset. We are confident that you will love it!

The countryside round here is perfect for bridleway-based mountain biking… we are on the edge of a large ridge of hills called Cranborne Chase which runs West from Salisbury to us, and then continues right across Dorset down to Lyme Regis. This provides a huge resource of hills and valleys with the second highest number of bridleways per square mile of anywhere in the UK (first is the Isle of Wight!).

There are several spectacular hills with ironage settlements (Hambledon, Hod, Bulbarrow to name but three) within 10 miles, a plethora of chocolate box villages, woodland and forest galore on our doorstep, plus the charming town of Shaftesbury within 7-8 miles.
